Adding to my collection and after a 4-string jazz bass — Fender or a good clone, alder or ash body, rosewood or maple board, either is fine. Passive preferred but I'll happily look at an active preamp. Good or better condition: honest gigging wear is expected and priced in, but I'd rather avoid neck twist, fret sprout or a truss rod at the end of its travel. Case or gig bag a bonus. Budget is around $900 and I can go a little higher for the right instrument. Happy to drive an hour or two in the Frederick / Baltimore / DC area to try it, cash on collection.
